TheodorAndTheGunStill01Introduction

This film is very special, because (as far as I know) it contains the earliest recording of Vangelis’ music ever! In 1962 Vangelis was playing with his band "The Forminx" on dance parties in and around Athens, and the group was becoming more and more popular. This did not go unnoticed by filmmakers and The Forminx were asked to perform one scene in this Greek comedy “O Thodoros Kai To Dikano” (Theodor And The Gun). The video of the band playing on a party in the film is the earliest surviving video of the group, where Vangelis can still be spotted before he grew a beard... The film has been released on DVD in Greece.

Synopsis

Thodoros, a meticulous accountant and an old-school paterfamilias, has made his intentions clear: his lively daughter, Christina, will only get married to the one who meets with his approval. With this in mind, Michalis--the pampered nephew of the firm's boss--seems like the perfect candidate; however, things will take a turn for the unexpected, when everyone shows his true colours at a merry party. Can love flourish at gunpoint?
