Introduction
At some point during the 1990s a cassette tape surfaced with five unreleased songs by Jon and Vangelis. According to an unidentified source the songs are from June 1986, which would mean they were probably recorded at Vangelis’ Nemo Studios, before Vangelis left London to stay for an extended period of time in New York and Los Angeles during the second half of 1986. In Los Angeles Jon Anderson appeared with Vangelis on stage on the 7th of November for a concert at the Royal Hall of the UCLA.
The songs were never officially released but have appeared on several unofficial releases, such as the bootleg “Another Page Of Life” (1998) which combines these tracks with other demo recordings that would ultimately be released on the Jon and Vangelis-album “Page Of Life” (1991) The song 'Let's Pretend' later appeared on Jon Anderson's project "Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe" on their self-titled album in 1989, but this version is essentially a cover as Vangelis does not play on it.
