“Reprise 1990-1999” is one of the better compilation albums by Vangelis, as it includes several unique tracks that are not available elsewhere. Released on the 25th of October 1999, Reprise 1990-1999 features a selection of well-known themes from the EastWest catalogue of the 1990s, including tracks from “The City” (1990), “1492 Conquest Of Paradise” (1992), “Blade Runner” (1994), “Voices” (1995), “Oceanic” (1996) and  “El Greco” (1998). The main attraction however is two previously unreleased tracks: ‘Theme from Bitter Moon’, a newly arranged version of the opening titles of the film “Bitter Moon” (1992) by Roman Polanski, and ‘Psalmus Ode’, a newly arranged version of the theme heard in a dramatic scene of a funeral procession in the film “The Plague” (1992).

The music on the album was personally compiled and digitally remastered by Vangelis, and several tracks cross-fade into the next, sometimes with added soundeffects. No singles were released off this album, but the album did receive some promotion through television ads in several countries.
