Introduction

"Steckdose" -Computermusik, Musik aus dem Computer- was a German radio show about music and technology, broadcast on SFB 2 (Berlin) radio every Sunday from 19:00 to 20:00 hrs from about 1982 to 1986. Host Wolfgang Layer did an interview with Vangelis which was broadcast in multiple episodes somewhere in 1984 (dates unknown). The radio interview is a collage of interview quotes of Vangelis and its German translation, mixed with music from Heaven And Hell (1975), Albedo 0.39 (1976), Spiral (1977), China (1979), Opera Sauvage (1979), Odes (1980), Chariots Of Fire (1981) and Jon and Vangelis – I’ll Find My Way Home (1982). At one point Vangelis plays a short improvisation on his keyboard.
